• Why is the Swingwiper faster?
• Quicker to set up, to maintain and to clean.
• Higher operational speeds because the carpet roll is able to swing away where obstacles    are.
• Driving speeds can be further maximized to the terrain type, as on the go adjustment of    chemical output to the speed can be done with the unique controller.



• What makes the Swingwiper chemicals more effective?
• The Swingwiper makes it possible to wipe lower to the ground as obstacles do no, or    little, damage. Wiping weeds closer to the ground results in the coverage of a larger    surface area of the plants, making chemicals more effective. (even a high concentration of    chemicals wiped on the top of the plant will only brown off the tops and not kill the whole    plant!)

• Based on trials, we believe that the active scratching action of the carpet fibres results in    a more effective chemical uptake by the vegetation.

The combination of the lower wiping position with the scratching action, makes the chemicals more effective and as a result a very good kill rate can be achieved with only 50% of the recommended chemical rate for boom sprayers.

• What chemicals to use?
So far, all our users use Glyphosate 360 in a mix of 1 in 25, using 2 Litres/Ha in a 100% weed infestation. (like Tussocks, Giant Parramatta grass) Less is used pro-rata when density is lower. (see % on Controller)

An environmental friendly Glyphosate, “Bioactive” – “Bioaquatic”. etc. can be used near waterways not harming marine life, like fish, frogs etc.


• How long lasting is the carpet, on the carpet roll?
Depending on weed type (woody or soft) and terrain type, the "outdoor" carpet will normally last for 500-750 wiping hours.
The Swingaway movement in combination with optional free wheeling carpet roll drastically reduces possible damage of the carpet (see picture below).



The carpet is still in top condition, thus prooving the effectiveness of the swing away movement of the carpet roll!


• Can the carpet come off?
The carpet is glued on with a special glue and so far we know it cannot come off with the water/chemical mixes we tested.


• How hard is it to replace the carpet?
The carpet is glued on a strong PVC pipe and this can easily be changed over for de-contamination or replacement. Time for this change over is less than five minutes.
